Ruth Sandifer

Ruth Lane Sandifer passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 in a local care facility.  Mrs. Sandifer was born on November 18, 1947 in Lake Charles, LA to Reynold Joseph and Gussie Marie Dugas Beauxis.  She was an excellent cook, never met a stranger and had a compassionate heart. Ruth put others ahead of herself, loved the outcast and poor and was a true Proverbs 31 lady.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Billy Ray Sandifer; son, Aaron Lopez and wife Dina of Moss Bluff; daughter, Nadia Derouen and husband Joshua of Sulphur; grandchildren, Corey and Mea Lopez and Elianah DeRouen. She was preceded in death by son Kendall Lopez; her parents; brother, Wade Beauxis; and sister, Bobbie McMichael.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff with Pastor Charles Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Old Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
