Sadie Poimboeuf

Sadie Poimboeuf, 93, of Vinton passed away on April 29, 2016 in a local care center. Sadie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton. She loved to work in her garden, crochet, read, genealogy, and she helped start the Historical Society in Vinton.

Sadie is survived by her son, Woodrow “Woody” Poimboeuf and wife Linda; her 4 grandchildren, Troy Poimboeuf, Sr. and wife Amy, Trevor Hardy, Taylor Hardy and Gregory Poimboeuf; 2 great grandchildren, Troy Poimboeuf, Jr. and Ashley Poimboeuf; and her sister, Elaine Leger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Woodrow Poimboeuf, Sr.; and her daughter, Kathy Poimboeuf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 3 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton with Father Carlos Garcia officiating. Burial will be in Nibletts Bluff in Vinton under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 1-3 P.M. with a rosary at 2 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton.
