Salvador Marie Richard

Salvador Marie Richard, 89, passed away on January 17, 2018 in a local care facility.

She was born on April 24, 1928 to Joe and Lillie LaRussa Tramonte in Lake Charles, LA.

Mrs. Richard prided herself in her love and care of her family. She was formerly a lay minister at St. Henry Catholic Church. She was a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and had a very dedicated prayer life.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Rickey G. Richard (Alaina) of Lake Charles and Roger J. Richard of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Sara Arnold (Josh) of Lake Charles, Paulette Moss of Sulphur, Darrel Fontenot (Kim) of California, Brooke Ancelet (Emile) of Lafayette, Hope Broussard (Chris) of Sulphur, Rikki K. Richard of Lake Charles, Halee Grace Richard of Lake Charles, Courtney Stelly of Lake Charles and Trey Stelly of Lake Charles; nine great grandchildren; niece, Judy Miller (Dale) of Sulphur and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Windel L. Richard; parents; a daughter, Therese Henry; and eight brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 1:30 PM on Monday, January 22, 2018. The Rev. Trey Ange will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home from 4 PM until 9 PM. A rosary will be recited at 6 PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday from 8 AM until 1 PM.

The family would like to thank the faculty and staff of Lake Charles Care Center and Christus/St. Patrick Hospice for their care and support.

Donations may be given in Mrs. Richard’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
