Sammie Lou Hoyle

July 11, 1930 — September 6, 2022

Sammie Lou Hoyle, 92, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in Orange, Texas. Sammie was born July 11, 1930, near Hillsboro, Texas to Briggs and Emmie (Hare) Padgett.  She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and married the love of her life, Kenneth ("Speedy") Ray Hoyle.  They enjoyed 50 years of married bliss until Kenneth's death in 1998.  Words did not express the love she had for him.

They lived in Texas with the exception of the last six years of their lives together happily spent in Lake Charles.  Sammie was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker and was well known for her sweet tea and chocolate cake.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth Ray Hoyle, daughter Brenda Jan Hoyle and son Lynn Robert Hoyle, parents Briggs and Emmie Padgett, sister Edith Lois Ward and brother Billy Joe Padgett.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and David Kibodeaux of Orange and Mary and Norman Harrison of Orange, grandchildren Christopher, Jon-Michael, Lindsey, Becky, Daniel, Ben, and Blake and six great grandsons.
