Sandra Faye Barnett Stanley, 77 of Carlyss, LA went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 26, 2012. She was born March 2, 1935 in Evansville, IN to Archie Elbert Barnett and Omah Esteen King Barnett. She moved to Louisiana in 1950 and was a graduate of Hackberry High School. Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Terry Wade Stanley and wife Elizabeth of Lake Charles, LA, Larry Joseph Stanley, Sr. and wife Kathy of Port Saint Lucie, FL, two daughters, Janet Gail Richardson and husband Jay of Baton Rouge, LA, and Lauri G. Castille and husband Camus of Carlyss, LA, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and a sister, Patsy Joyce Tupper and husband Richard A. Tupper of Georgetown, TX. Sandras many interests included sewing and art. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lake Charles, LA. Through the years attending church, she taught 4 & 5 year old children in Disciple Training and worked with youth choirs. Sandra also sang in the sanctuary choir. Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2012 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, LA. The funeral service will be at 11 am on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Robison Funeral Home, followed by burial at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss, LA. The Rev. Francis LaRocque and Rev. D. Gene Stanley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Andrew Castille, Cory Richardson, Casey Richardson, Garrett Atkins, Larry J. Stanley, Jr., Christopher B. Stanley, Aaron Stanley, Camus Castille, and Jay Richardson. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to those who helped care for Granny in her final days, especially Sonia and Melanie, Michelle, Chasity, Heather, Katie and Chaplin Durgan with Southern Care. The family would also like to thank Janet for the tender love and care she provided to Mom during her illness.
