Sandra Gail Williamson

Sandra Gail Woodard Williamson, 57, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Saturday, October 1, 2016 in her residence.

Ms. Williamson was born February 16, 1959 in Lake Charles, LA and has lived all of her life in the Lake Charles / Iowa areas. She attended Iowa High School and was a longtime employee of Fed-Ex. Following her retirement, she and her mother operated a day care in her home. During her younger years, Ms. Williamson was very active in her community and her church, First Baptist Church of Iowa. She enjoyed shopping, fishing, and reading, but her true passion was always for children, especially her grandchildren. She had a giving heart and will be missed dearly.

Ms. Williamson is survived by her son, Josh Williamson of Austin, TX; step-children, Derek Williamson of Houston, TX and Cory Williamson and wife Mandie of Lake Charles; mother, Mary Velma Woodard of Lake Charles; sisters, Debra Pearson and husband Ronnie of Dallas, TX, Connie McDaniel and husband Carl of Moss Bluff, and Christine Jacob of Baton Rouge, LA; brother, Troy Woodard and wife Sondra of Lake Charles; father of her child, Ernie Williamson of Mississippi; granddaughter, Emma Williamson; four step-grandchildren that she loved dearly; and numerous other nieces, nephews and family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, Otis Ray Woodard; infant son, Jacob Williamson; brother-in-law, Chris Jacob; and nephew, Nick Jacob.

Her cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Her memorial service will be held at a later date.
