Sandra Gayle Dronette

Sandra Gayle Dronette, 67, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born to Charles and Elsie McDaniel on February 23, 1954, in Panama City, FL. She has been a resident of Sulphur, LA for 51 years. 

Sandra was an amazing, loving person that would do anything for anyone. Though she did not have any biological children, her step-children, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews were considered her own. She loved reading, cooking (boy did she make a good banana pudding), drawing, and most importantly, spending time with her loved ones. She had a smile and laugh that will always be remembered. Let us not forget the words she always said when we’d leave, “I love you, SMOOCHES!”. And absolute amazing woman gone from this Earth too soon for our hearts. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elsie McDaniel and her sister, Margaret McDaniel Kitts.

Left to cherish her memory are; her step-children, Tabitha Morley and Tim Dronette; brother David McDaniel (Sharon); sister Bunny Cormier; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; Charlie Kitts (Dawn), Tammy Ancelet (Phillip), Jada Cormier (Stacy) and daughter Armani, Crystal Cormier, Jessica Stokes (Bo), children Bailey Stokes (Max) and Brycen Stokes, Chuck McDaniel; Hailey Sanders (Ben) and daughter Paislee;Treavor Ancelet (Jessy) and children Cameron and Kasen; Zachary Koonce; Christian Ancelet and children Aleeya, Cayrun and Elijah; Marlena Thibodeaux (Zaak) and son Jacque;  Tristian Kitts (Shyanne) and children Robert and Blake; Gage Kitts. She also has two great-great nieces, Alyssa and Jymah LeJeune who called her “Granny”; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services for Sandra will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 2 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 11 AM until time of service.   Cremation will be entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
