Sandra Kaye Hulse Page

November 12, 1947 — September 28, 2024

Sandra Kaye Hulse Page, 76, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Born on November 12, 1947, in Tyler, Texas, Sandra moved to New Iberia at a young age and graduated from New Iberia Senior High School. She later settled in Lake Charles, where she worked as a legal secretary.

Sandra was a devoted single mother, raising her two boys. She balanced tenderness with determination and loved her boys well.

In the early 1980s, while out bowling, Sandra met the love of her life, Michael Page. They spent many evenings together dancing, laughing, and enjoying life to the fullest. The couple married on March 3, 1984, beginning a marriage that spanned over forty years. They shared a passion for adventures, particularly at Toledo Bend, where Sandra held the mid-1980s record for the largest white perch caught. Sandra and Mike also competed together on a dart team for over a decade.

Her true joy came from her grandchildren. She left her career to devote herself entirely to her five grandchildren, spending countless hours with them, whether swimming at her house or volunteering at Trinity Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School. Her grandchildren were her world, and she cherished every moment they spent together.

Sandra was also known for her love of animals, particularly her miniature French poodles.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Michael Page of Lake Charles; her two sons, Gregory Hixon and Byron Hixon (Jennifer); and her five grandchildren, Hunter, Gage, Beau, Tyler (Rachel), and Haley Hixon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maxie Thomas Hulse, Mildred Blanche Hulse and her brothers, Thomas and Kenneth Hulse.

Sandra leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, strength, and dedication to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
