Sarah Hutton Speights

Sarah Hutton Speights, 81, passed from this life on January 11,2022 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born and raised in Mississippi to Percy and Myrtice Hutton on January 29,1940. Sarah met the love of her life, Jack while in Mississippi. They moved to Louisiana in 1964 eventually settling in Sulphur in 1970.

Sarah was a member of Henning United Methodist Church. She retired from Calcasieu Marine National Bank. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband, cooking for her family and planning events. Everyone who knew Sarah knew her love for the LSU Tigers and the Game Show Network.

Those left to mourn her loss are her daughters, Lesa Pritchard (Dean), Theresa Guillory (Larry), Jackie Breaux (Dan); son Richard Jack Speights Jr. (Julie); her siblings, and many nieces and nephews. She was “Mammie” to 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and countless others.

Sarah was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard Jack Speights Sr.; her parents, Percy and Myrtice Hutton; her sisters, Ima Jean Bardin and Roma Dean Martin; her brothers Junior Hutton and Hugh Hutton.

A private Celebration of Life will be held by her family at a later date.
