John Henry “Scooter” LeBleu, II, 64, of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 in the comfort of his home.
Scooter was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He was of the Martin Loree LeBleu family, a Pioneer Calcasieu parish family and S.P. Henry and C. F. Henry, Sr., a Pioneer Cameron parish family. He was a 1971 graduate of LaGrange Senior High School, 1977 graduate of McNeese State University and 1983 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He was a Kappa Sigma Alumni and a member of the Physical Therapy Association of Louisiana. He practiced independently as a Physical Therapist in the Lake Charles area and worked for a short while as a teacher for the Calcasieu Parish School Board. Mr. LeBleu enjoyed duck hunting and fishing and an avid LSU football and baseball fan. “A good brother and good friend, Scooter was an original and unique person with creative bridges for all friends and family to remain near”.
He leaves to honor his memory, two brothers, Loree W. LeBleu and wife Beverly Pruitt and Armant M. LeBleu; two sisters, Sheryl L. Swift and Marsha Delaney and husband John; numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry LeBleu, Sr. and Marjorie Ware LeBleu; brother, Conway C. LeBleu; nephew, John Jay Delaney and his niece, Mary Beth LeBleu.
The family of Mr. LeBleu wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the nurse’s staff of Heart of Hospice for their excellence in care and compassion during this difficult time. They also extend special thanks to his brother in spirit, Dr. Carl Nabours and his wife Brenda, along with his many lifelong friends, for their love and kindness in caring for him in the last of his journeys.
In respect of Scooter’s wishes, his Memorial gatherings and Celebrations of life will be in the company of his circles of friends and family. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
