Sean Patrick Doyle, 53, of Lake Charles passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles.
Mr. Doyle was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He was a 1984 graduate of Barbe High School. He served twenty-eight years with the Calcasieu Parish Sherriff’s Office working many departments throughout the course of his career. He began in the jail, worked in patrol, was a CPSO diver, a sniper for the SWAT team, worked K-9 Unit and crime scene and retired a funeral service escort. His passion was dog training. He enjoyed vacationing in the cabins of Colorado and over watching the movie that ALWAYS made him laugh, Friday. Sean was a man of great faith, attended Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and was a member of the ACTS retreat. He will be most remembered for his bright spirit, sense of humor and optimism and strength in his fight.
He leaves to honor his memory, his wife of eighteen years, Alyson Daigre Doyle of Lake Charles; one son, Brannon Patrick Doyle of Lake Charles; one daughter, Bailey Bennett Daigre of Lake Charles; his mother, Gloria Wilkens Byars and husband Fred of Lake Charles; two brothers, Scott Doyle and wife Courtney of Katy, TX and Todd Doyle and wife Jacy of Lafayette; nieces and nephews; aunt, Paula Gournay of Lake Charles; mother-in-law, Jane Daigre of Lake Charles; brother-in-law, Chad Daigre and wife Sandi of Lake Charles and dear friends, Jimmy Terrell of Iowa, Duane Callahan of Sulphur and Sconnie Granger of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Scott Doyle; father-in-law, Joe Daigre and grandparents, Harold and Bessie Gournay and Marie Correze Doyle.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2019 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Visitation Saturday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
