Sharon Kay Bergman Clark

Sharon Kay Bergman Clark, 53, of Moss Bluff died at 5:32 AM Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in a local hospital.


Mrs. Clark was born on May 30, 1959 to the parents of Paddy and Donald Bergman in Monticello, Iowa. She was a 1977 graduate of Monticello High School and a 1981 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa where she received a BA in Education. She became a teacher in Carrizo Springs, Texas where she met Randy, while teaching 1st and 2nd grade at Carrizo Springs Elementary School. Sharon and Randy were married at United Church of Monticello on July 27, 1985. She enjoyed, first of all, her family which she was so very proud of. She worked at First Baptist Church for the mother's day out program for many years. She was the leader of the Children's Choir for over 20 years, Bible Drill and worked Vacation Bible School at the church. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting Teddy Bears and loved keeping them displayed throughout the house.


Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Don Bergman and her father-in-law, Warren Clark.


She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Randy Clark, two sons, Justin and Nathan Clark and two daughters, Nicole and Maegan Clark all of Moss Bluff, her mother, Paddy Bergman of Lady Lake, FL., two brothers; Gary (Pam) Bergman of Bettendorf, IA, and Kevin(Alison) Bergman of Monticello, Iowa, one sister, Donna (Steve) Flamm of Wes Des Moines, Iowa, seven nieces and nephews, one uncle, Roger (Evelyn) Bergman of Dike, Iowa, Mother-in-law, Nettie Clark of Elizabeth, LA, two brother-in-laws, Danny (Barb) Clark of Richmond, TX, and Kenny (Jan) Clark of Winnfield, LA and two nieces a dn1 nephew.


Her funeral will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Moss Bluff, LA. Rev. Jack Tillery will officiate. Burial will be in New Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Friday at 6:00 PM in the funeral home. Visitation will continue at 12:00 PM on Saturday at the church in Moss Bluff.
