Sharon Gayle Lyon

Sharon Gayle Lyon, 63, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in Lake Charles, LA. She was born on October 29, 1960 in Lake Charles, LA to Jerrold and Lillian Bertrand Lyon.

She spent her life working at Henry Heights Elementary, and she loved telling stories about the kids and coworkers. She enjoyed watching game shows and talking on the telephone. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her niece, Cortney Lyon, and a great number of cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerrold and Lillian Lyon, and her sister, Kathy Lyon.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2024 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, located at 4321 Lake St., Lake Charles, LA. Msgr. Jace Eskind will serve as Celebrant. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM in St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery, located on 8th St., Lake Arthur, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
