Sheila Amidon, 55, passed away on September 1, 2020. Sheila was a graduate of Sulphur High (1983) and McNeese State (1986). In her early years, she touched numerous young girls’ lives through dance as an instructor at Cindy’s School of Dance in Sulphur. She quickly started her professional career immediately out of college at Premier Health Services where she soon became the Director and developed a successful organization for 17 years.
She dabbled in various different hobbies during the last several years while tapping into her creative energies from catering and flea markets to purposeful reuse of almost anything. She will mostly be remembered by the numerous people’s lives she touched while assisting and caring for them during their most difficult times.
Sheila rarely met a stranger and found life-long friendships in many and for those whose friendship she truly embraced, there’s nothing she wouldn’t have done for them.
Sheila is survived by numerous great friends and her sister, Missy Amidon, niece Taylor Lyons (Aaron), nephews Alec and Mason LeBlanc and great nephews Kasen and Ryker Lyons.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher Leon and Agnes Marie Bushnell Amidon.
