Shelby Sidney Hoffpauir

Shelby S. Hoffpauir, 76 of Sulphur passed away on March 30, 2012 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Cain officiatong. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss, LA under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 5-9 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Monday at 8 a.m. until time of service. Shelby was a native and a longtime resident of Sulphur. After graduating from Sulphur High School, he went to work for Cameron Telephone Company and retired from there as President of Cameron Communications. He was a member of Henning United Methodist Church. Shelby is survived by his wife, JoEddie Hoffpauir of 59 years of Sulphur; three sons, Gerald Hoffpauir and wife, Connie of Moss Bluff, Carlyn Hoffpauir and wife, Pam of Cypress, TX, and David Hoffpauir and wife, Corrina of Carlyss; three daughters, Deanna Leger and husband, Byron of Lumberton, TX, Leslie Wiseman and husband, David of Wichita, KS, and Sharon White and husband, David of Baytown, TX; one brother, Louis Wayne Hoffpauir and wife, Jan of Carlyss; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Alice Hoffpauir.
