Sherrill Faye Pitman

Sherrill Faye Pitman, 64, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 5:23 AM on Sunday, March 7, 2021 in a local care facility.

Ms. Pitman was born May 20, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA and was raised at Trinity Baptist Church.  She was a 1974 graduate of LaGrange High School and received her nursing degree from McNeese State University.  She began her nursing career at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.  She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and was an excellent piano player and singer.  Ms. Pitman will always be remembered as a fun loving, smiling lady who loved life and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Ms. Pitman is survived by her son, Jason Foster and wife Jayme of Winnsboro, LA; daughter, Hollie Peveto and husband Colby of Sulphur, LA; brother, Mark Pitman and wife Lwana; sisters, Laurie Kleckley and husband Chuck, Kathy Stutes and husband Chuck, Mary Fellows and husband Buck, and Jane Pitman, all of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren, Zoe, Elijah, Emma, Ava, Kelsea, Connor, Cassie, Carson, and Allie; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death her parents, John and Alma Pitman; sons, Chadwick Foster and Adam Foster; grandchild, Jayde Jennings; and her first husband and father of her children, Larry Foster.

Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church, North Venue.  Reverend Steve James will officiate, along with Jason Foster.  Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park.  Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
