Sherry Ann Holden

Sherry Ann Holden, 70, of Lake Charles died at 3:20 PM on Sunday, November 6, 2011 in her residence.

Mrs. Holden was born on December 29, 1940 in Lafayette and was raised in Ville Platte. She worked as an RN and loved to take care of people. Mrs. Holden enjoyed fishing with her husband and family. She loved playing bingo and was pretty lucky.

She was a great and caring mother and loved being a "Mom."

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 23 years, Delbert Clyde Holden, Jr.; two sons, Sheldon Scott Holden and wife Jade and Ben Monroe all of Lake Charles; two daughters, Selina Keele of Grand Lake and Marla Bertrand of Jennings; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a niece, Sabrina Holden Baudoin of Moss Bluff.

She was preceded in death by ten children; three siblings; and her parents, Joseph and Maria Guillory.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dale Nazworth will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the start of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for outstanding expenses.
