Sherry Marie Matteson

Sherry Marie Matteson, 46, of Lake Charles died at 8:40 PM on Friday, August 20, 2010 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Matteson was a native and life long resident of Lake Charles where she was a graduate of LaGrange High School. She stayed home to take care of her family and enjoyed every minute of it. Her family was her world.

Those left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, James Scott Matteson; a daughter, Samantha Matteson; two sons, Steve Matteson and wife Stephanie and Waylon Matteson; and three grandchildren, Autumn Matteson, Clint Matteson, and Savannah Polk all of Lake Charles; one sister, Ivy Boada; and two brothers, Gary and Danny Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Junius and Marie Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gary Evers will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Lake Community Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services in the funeral home.
