Shirley A Fontenot

Shirley Granger Fontenot, 68, of Lake Charles, passed away July 7, 2014 at a local hospital. Shirley was born February 4, 1946, in Mamou, LA to Euge and Lillian Granger. Shirley was a young lady of fun. She loved dancing and being around family and friends. She attended St. Margaret Catholic Church. Shirley worked 38 years for Hunter Perrin State Farm Insurance Company. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Wilber "Will" Fontenot; six children, Kristal Franklin and husband David of LeBleu, Larry Keith Smith of Sulphur, LA, Kelli Jackson and husband Clarence of Westlake, LA, Shawn Fontenot Yujuico and husband Mark of Colleyville, TX, Shannon Fontenot and wife Brandie of Lake Arthur, and Stefan Fontenot and wife Laura of Jennings, LA; and ten grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and all siblings. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 8, 2014, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Father Jeff Starkovich will officiate services.
