Shirley Anell Carruthers

December 21, 1955 — April 9, 2022

Shirley Anell Carruthers, 66, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Saturday April 9, 2022 with her husband at her side.

She now resides with God and Jesus.

Proceeding Shirley in death are her parents, Johnny L. Rivers and Agnes Procell Rivers and sister, Sybil Thompson. She leaves to honor and cherish her loving husband of 27 years, James W. Carruthers; two cherished brothers, Johnny and David Rivers, as well as many nieces and nephews she loved each individually as her own children.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home with no formal memorial services planned.
