Shirley Inez Fontenot

Shirley Inez Fontenot, 77, of Westlake, died Sunday June 28, 2015 at a local hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Fontenot was a native of Port Arthur, Texas and a longtime resident of Westlake. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Kroger Company and a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church of Westlake. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved sharing pictures of her family and stories with all of her friends. Preceding Shirley in death are her parents, Joseph D. and Lucia Inez Borel Dumatrait; sister, Mary Moore; and a brother Gene Dumatrait. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 58 years, Ronald James Fontenot, Westlake; children, Ronald Fontenot and wife Carla, Westlake, Donnie Fontenot, Sulphur and Gary Fontenot and wife Angela, Griffin, GA, Sharon Fontenot and husband Chris, Lake Charles and Angela Caston and husband John, Denham Springs; grandchildren Ronald Fontenot III, Robbie Fontenot, Erin Fontenot, Ashley Michelli, Keith Fontenot, Mallory Fontenot, Lauren Fontenot, Blair Caston, Hillary Caston; one great grandchild, Ronald Fontenot IV; three sisters, Alice Patronella, Groves, TX, Linda Johnson and husband Leonard, Port Acres, TX, and JoAnn Pace, Little Cypress, TX, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home today, Wednesday July 1, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. Graveside inurnment services will be observed on Thursday July 2 at Consolata Cemetery with Father Albert Wayne Borel officiating.
