Shirley Mae Bertrand

Shirley Marie Bertrand, 78, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011. She was born in Jennings and was a resident of Lake Charles.

Mrs. Bertrand was devoted to her family and she enjoyed embroidery.

She is survived by her four children, Vickie Harris of Aurora, Indiana, Ricky James Bertrand and wife D'ann of South Point, Ohio, Howard Keith Bertrand of Lake Charles, Trudy Bertrand of Lake Charles; brother, Richard Clement and wife Denise of Lake Charles; sister, Brenda Landry and husband Randall of Iowa; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; and her beloved pet, Priszi.

Preceded in death by her husband Edward "Mr. Ed" Bertrand.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 11:30AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Steve James will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday from 5PM-9PM and will continue Tuesday from 8AM until time of service.
