Shirley Marie Roy

Shirley Marie Roy, 87, of Lake Charles, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at a local hospital.  Shirley was born on August 28, 1935 in New Iberia to Forrest and Odette Roy.  After graduating high school she worked in the real estate field for many years.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Bridget Badon and husband Kenneth, Laura Young and husband Paul, two sisters, Juanita Broussard and husband Kenneth, and Constance Boudreaux, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and children, Stephanie and Christopher, her sister Catherine Colletti and her brother Russell Roy. 

Memorial services for Shirley will be Saturday, March 4, 2023. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. with a Funeral service to follow at 10:30 A.M. at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605.  Graveside services will take place at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
