Shirley May Leblanc

Shirley May LeBlanc, 78, of Lake Charles died at 5:25 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2011 in a local hospital.

Mrs. LeBlanc was born in Maurice, LA on January 31, 1932 and lived her adult life in Lake Charles. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Mrs. LeBlanc spent many years volunteering at the St. Louis Catholic School cafeteria.

She had many joys in life, especially playing cards and cooking wonderful meals.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son, Andre LeBlanc of Baton Rouge; a brother, Joe Dronet of Houston; a sister, Joyce Savoie of Boutte, LA; six grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Sidney LeBlanc; and a daughter, Beneva Weidner.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Jessings will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a scripture service and rosary being held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM in the funeral home.
