Shirley Trahan Montagne, 84, of Sulphur passed away on September 7, 2016 in a local hospital. Shirley was born in 1932 and the daughter of the late Alex and Agnes Trahan of Lake Arthur. Mrs. Montagne’s life work was working with people with disabilities and their families. She will also be remembered for adopting many cats over the past years and caring lovingly for each one of them.
Shirley is survived by one son, Christopher Montagne; and her brother, Herbert “Poochie” Trahan of Lake Charles.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 12 P.M. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 1700 Maplewood Drive in Sulphur. Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until time of the service in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Committal service will at 3 P.M. in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Lake Arthur under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
Following the church service the church will host a lunch and fellowship for friends and family in the church hall.
Mrs. Montagne would like to thank Dr. Terry Ford and his staff for all the kindness and assistance they gave her and all her animals. Lastly I want to be known only as Chris’s Mom!!Visits: 4
