Sidney Guillory, Sr.

Sidney Guillory, Sr., 86, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. Guillory was born and raised in Kinder, LA and has lived forty years in Lake Charles. He served the United States Navy. He retired a Truck Driver of twenty-five years of with Missouri Pacific Truck Line. His favorite past time was working with his tractor, cattle, farming and gardening. Mr. Guillory enjoyed life. He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of thirty-five years, Dorothy Ray Guillory of Lake Charles; one son, Sidney "Boo" Guillory, Jr. and wife Katy of Ragley; three daughters, Cynthia Spell and husband Kyle and Darlene Pousson and husband Bill, both of Lake Charles and Becky Doyle and husband Riley Moss Bluff; one step-son, David Musselwhite and wife Abby of New Iberia; two step-daughters, Cindy Feucht and husband Joe of Lake Charles and Judy Conley and husband Tommy of Oakdale; ten grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alphonse Guillory of Lake Charles and Lloyd "Jimmy" Guillory of Kinder; two sisters, Ruby Pierce of Kinder and JoEllen Chaumont of Soileau. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathis and JoAnna Marcantel Guillory and one brother, Davis Guillory. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, June 16, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Tim Nichols will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Sunday will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
