Sidney Samuel LeJeune, 96, of Lake Charles died on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in a local hospital.
Mr. LeJeune was born on October 5, 1916 in Lake Arthur, LA. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. LeJeune worked for Olin Chemical Corporation as an electrician. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
He adored his family and loved his gardening.
Those left to cherish his family are a son, Charles LeJeune and his wife Sammy; a daughter, Karen Campbell; a daughter-in-law, JoAnn LeJeune; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a step great grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Louise LeJeune and Lillian Lyon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Mollie Bertrand LeJeune; a son, Keith A. LeJeune; a brother; three sisters; and a son-in-law, Mike Campbell.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Monsignor James Gaddy will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery in Lake Arthur under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue in the funeral home on Friday from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
