Silvie Ruth Guidry

Silvie Ruth Brimingham, Huff, Savell, Guidry passed away on the morning of July 19, 2016. She was born in Booneville, MS on February 7, 1943 and was the 13th child of 16 children. Silvie moved to Lepanto, AR in 1948 with her family. She grew up there and married Harold Huff from Dyess, AR in 1960. Silvie has three beautiful children, from that union. She married Jerry Savell in 1982 until his death in 1987. In 1990 she married Kenny Guidry of Sulphur, LA until he passed away in 2007. Silvie lived in Sulphur until her death. She was an avid bowler for 25 years, liked playing card games and fishing. Silvie attended Lepanto High School and Phillips County Community College in Helena, AR where she lived for 25 years. She retired from Helena Hospital where she was a Certified Dietary Supervisor. In 2002, she gave her heart to Jesus and became a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Sulphur. Silvie dearly loved her church family, her pastor, and going to church.

Silvie was preceded in death by her parents, Eva and Emily Brimingham; daughter, Dana Jill Huff; stepson, Jess Guidry; 2 husbands, Jerry Savell and Kenny Guidry; 5 brothers, Esco, Cleston, Floyd, Johnny, and Edward Brimingham; 4 sisters, Flora Mannus, Grace Pulley, Louise Oakes, Pearline Morgan, and Inez Lunsford.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Rita Huff and Ray Huff; 3 brothers, Troy Brimingham of Covington, GA, Ezra Brimingham and wife Debora of McHenry MS, and Vee Brimingham of Auburn, KS; 2 sisters, Sophie Ballard and husband Larry of Marked Tree, AR, and Oneida Crawford of Little Rock, AR; 5 stepdaughters, Dianne Marter of Crossett, AR, Sherry Crumby of Denham Springs, LA, Tammy Carpenter of Prospect, KY, Jodi Stone of Dallas, TX, and Paige Williams of Sulphur, LA. She had numerous grandkids and great grandkids. She was also blessed with many wonderful nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 2 P.M. at First Pentecostal Church of Sulphur with Pastor Harlan Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends from 1P.M. until time of the service at the church. There will be a visitation on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Bob Neal and Son Funeral Home in Marvell, AR from 1-2 P.M. with a burial following at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Helena-W. Helena, AR.
