Simon Martinez Perea

Simon Martinez Perea, 41, of Moss Bluff, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021.

Simon was born July 7, 1980 in Mexico City.  He was a hardworking man who fought to provide for his family that he loved dearly.  He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and true friend to everyone.  He will be greatly missed by all.

Simon is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Nancy Gonzalez Martinez; children, Judith Ethel Martinez Gonzalez, Maria de los Angeles Martinez, and Sebastian Martinez “Bonie”; mother, Maria de los Angeles Perea; siblings, Maria de los Angeles Martinez Perea, Maria del Consuelo Martinez Perea, Reina Isabel Martinez Perea (Candelario Martinez) and Vidal Martinez Perea; and brother-in-law, Jose Martinez (Maria Martinez).

He was preceded in death by his father, Filiberto Martinez.

His funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church.  Father Jenesh Joseph will officiate.  Burial will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery.  Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM and continue on Wednesday at the funeral home from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
