Sonja “Tutt” Lynne Couch, wife, Mama, NaNa, Tutt, Aunt Tutt, 58 was called to rest on Monday, March 15 surrounded by loved ones.
She lived most of her life in Sulphur with her husband, Kerry, her children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed being outside in the sun, whether at the beach, crabbing in Hackberry, or cooking out in the yard, she was the life of the party. She loved spending time with her family most of all. Being a mother, grandmother, and great aunt was her greatest joy; she loved those babies. Her chosen family, her friends, meant a great deal to her and she will be massively missed. She loved hard, had killer cooking skills, sweet dance moves, and an infectious smile.
She is survived by her husband, Kerry Couch; her children, Nikea Mouton and husband Patrick, Dustin Richard, Kaysi Duplantis and husband Adam, Kari Khan, and Michael Koonce; her grandchildren, Victoria, Patrick Jr., Tiffany, Natalia, Laken, Piper, Paisley, Elizabeth, and Nova; her sister, Carolyn Lacomb; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Nola Richard; her sister, Deanna O’Quinn; her brother, Larry Richard; and 2 brothers-in-law, Hebert O’Quinn, and Robert “B.O.” Lacomb.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 with visitation beginning at 9:30AM at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home, located at 3448 5th Avenue, Lake Charles.
