Stanford Herman Robertson

Stanford Herman Robertson, 68, passed away in the comfort of his own home and surrounded by the love of his family on September 6, 2017.

Stan graduated from Jennings High School in 1966. After earning the Bronze Star while serving in the United States Army in Vietnam, he went on to graduate from McNeese State University. He was a Lab Analyst, and retired with Citgo Petroleum Company. Mr. Robertson’s greatest joy in life was his family, and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Mary Carol “Tita” Robertson of Lake Charles; two sons, Mark Robertson and wife Stephanie of Lake Charles, and Dan Robertson and wife Jordan of San Marcos, TX; two sisters, Neva Harris of Sherwood, AR, and Patricia Pitre of Welsh, LA; brother, Richard Robertson of Hathaway, LA; mother-in-law, Deanna Gennuso; and four grandchildren, Sophia, Anna, Noelle, and Anders.

Mr. Robertson is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Frieda Robertson; sister, Martha Robertson; and brother, Carl Robertson.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Stan’s niece, Christine Harris, who took care of him in his final days with strength, courage, and grace.

A memorial service will be held at 3PM on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10AM to the start of the service at 3PM on Saturday. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Stan to Immaculate Conception Cathedral School, M.D. Anderson, or Heart of Hospice.
