Stanford Ray Langley

Stanford Ray Langley, 72 years old, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 in a local hospital.  He was born on October 14, 1950 to Paul Leston Langley and Esyleta Deshotel Langley in Kinder, Louisiana.

Stan was a great provider for his family, he worked many years as an operator in the refineries. He was a loving husband and devoted partner to his wife of 40 years before her passing. He enjoyed bonding with his son's, going to the hunting lease and making sausage at the camp. He was always excited to bring his daughters and grandchildren out to eat.  Once retired you could often find him in his recliner watching old westerns or an action-packed movie. He loved to eat and visit with his friends every morning at Southern Spice. Stan was rough and tough around the edges but was known as a huge teddy bear who always waited for a hug before leaving. He had a huge love for his children and grandchildren. His witty remarks will truly be missed!

Those left to cherish his memory are, his children, Angela Spiers, Timothy Langley, Christopher Langley and Amanda Langley; his grandchildren, Kyler Langley, Aleigh Langley Kennedi Langley and Adeline Spiers; his siblings, Larry Paul Langley, Allen J. Langley, Cindy Langley and Mendy Callahan; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Catherine Langley.

His funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.  Msgr. Jace Eskind will serve as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Soileau, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will resume on Friday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the start of the service at 10:00 AM.
