Stella Joyce Simon

Stella Joyce Simon, ”Aunt Stella”, 63, of Lake Charles, LA passed away at a local hospital on December 15, 2019. Stella was born on May 11, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA to Horace and Verna Mae Richard. She was known as “Aunt Stella” to all who knew her. She enjoyed being around family and friends especially during the holidays. Stella liked sewing, shopping, cooking, watching tv and bragging about her children and grandchildren, especially her son and grandson in the Air Force.

Stella is survived by her three children, Jeremy Seay and wife Michelle of Milton, FL, Trent Seay of Alexandria, Louis Seay and wife Simone of Carlyss, LA; six step children, Michael Tingler, Jerame Simon, Cory Simon, Blyth LaCoste, Kent Simon, and Jake Simon; 9 grandchildren AArron “Bird” and Kristyn “Girlie” Seay, Samantha “Sam” and Katlynn “KK” Seay, Gabby and Kaleb Seay, Kiley Whatley and Husband Chip, Kaitlin Thibobeaux and husband Garrett, Kimberly Amie and fiancé Christopher and numerous step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren Hanson, Benjamin, Kanton, Maslynn; loving niece and nephew, Tina Amie and Adam Richard and numerous other nieces and nephews; two sisters, Natalie “Eddie” Landry and husband Gerald and Bernadette Silver and husband Floyd all of Hackberry, LA; one brother, Horace “Bubba” Richard and wife Laura of Moss Bluff, LA; best friend, Brenda Augustine of Lake Charles, LA; and father to her three boys, Alex “Bozo” Seay of Sulphur, LA. Stella was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Kenny Simon and Kelvin “Mark” Simon.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 6:30 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 18, at the funeral home from 12:30 P.M. until time of the service. Cremation will follow and has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the funeral home.
