Stella Mae Breaux

Stella Mae Breaux, 93, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away peacefully at 9:12 AM on Friday, July 2, 2021 in a local hospital.

Ms. Breaux was born May 7, 1928 in Lake Charles, LA.  She had a great love for her family, had a very giving heart and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, along with occasional trips to the casino.  She was baptized at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

Ms. Breaux is survived by her sons, Marlon Carl Breaux and wife Shivohn of Houston, TX, and Jeffrey Jones of Lake Charles; granddaughters, Maquetta Savoie and husband Jay and Brandi Jones; great-grandchildren, Lakeyn Bordelon and Adrieanna Savoie; sister, Mildred Jones of Houston, TX; her beloved dog, Poochie; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delma and Stella Navy Breaux; sisters, Matilda Redfud, Annie Mae Rious, Thelma Sallier, Margaret Breaux, and Louise Pennix; brothers, Lloyd Johnson, and Joseph Johnson; and her best friend, Sadie Mallard.

Her funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Richard Uche will officiate.  Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service, with a rosary at 11:00 AM.

Pallbearers for the service will be Ryan Williams, Rodrick James, Craig Jones, Nathaniel Che Jones, Robert Sallier, and Derrick Dean.
