Stephen Elliott Coleman

Stephen Elliott Coleman, 29, of Bell City, died Friday, February 15, at his residence.

Stephen was born in Lake Charles and lived most of his life in Bell City. He attended St. Louis Catholic High School and Barbe High School before graduating from Louisiana State University in Eunice (LSU-E).

He was a farmer and cattleman in the Bell City area all of his life.

He is survived by his parents, Steve and Felicia Vaughn Coleman of Bell City; one sister, Diana Vinson and her husband Max of Lake Charles; his maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Vaughn of Moss Bluff; paternal grandparents, Steve and Leatrice Coleman of Bell City; an uncle, Robert Vaughn and his wife Dana; Aunts, Theresa and her husband Steve Kjerulff, Cathy Fontenot and her husband Kenneth, Stephanie DeVillier and her husband Craig; two nephews Bryce and Owen Conner; one niece Hannah Vinson and cousins Gabrielle Vaughn, Kyle Medicis, Kane Vest, Luke and Sidney DeVillier

He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Stanley Vaughn and great grandparents, Tony and Felicie Abate and Sidney and Marie Derouen.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, February 18, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Steve James and Monsignor Charles DuBois will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. A rosary will be recited by the Rev. Deacon Jack Reynolds at 6:00 PM Sunday night at the funeral home.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday and from 8:00 AM until time of services on Monday.
