Stephen Patrick Guillory

June 23, 1951 — February 17, 2011

Stephen Patrick Guillory, Sr., 59, of Sulphur, died Thursday February 17, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family, when he went to worship Jesus face to face.


Steve was born in Kinder on June 23, 1951 to Leroy and Joetta Cronan Guillory. He was raised in Lake Charles and was a 1969 graduate of LaGrange High School. He attended McNeese State University for 2 years, worked in construction, pipefitting and carpentry and owned Gulf Coast Pools and Lake Area Pool Service.


Steve was preceded in death by his father Leroy Guillory; daughter, Angelina Marie Guillory; grandchildren, Nasia and Chaiya Stewart; nephew, Aaron Gibson; sister-in-love, Glenda Baggett. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Roberta (Robbie) Harding Barbier Guillory, Sulphur; son, Stephen Patrick Guillory, Jr. and wife Brandy of Cape Coral, FL; daughters, Nili Katrice Stewart and husband Ben of Destrehan, LA, and Joanna Beth Menard and husband Chad of DeRidder; eleven grandchildren; mother, Joetta Cronan Guillory; brother, Greg Guillory, Sugartown; sisters, Ginger Guillory Gibson, Grand Couteau; Cindy Guillory Hymel, Lake Charles, and Carole Guillory Glasgow, Houston, TX.


Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday February 26, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Stewart officiating.


Steve, with his wife Robbie, have both donated their bodies to the Willed Body Program with Tulane University School of Medicine, in New Orleans, for the advancement of medical education and research, in hopes for finding a cure for cancer. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to express special thank you to the many friends and family, Westlake High School, Preparing the Way Ministries LC, Memorial Hospital, TATU unit at Tulane Medical Hospital and Odyssey Hospice.
