Stephen “Steve” Diamond, 68, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away Tuesday morning, December 29, 2020 in a local hospital surrounded by family.

Steve was born June 6, 1952 in Tulsa, OK and raised in Lake Charles, LA. He was a 1970 graduate of LaGrange High School. An entrepreneur at heart, Steve was the proud owner of Diamond Paint & Supply from 1980-2012 and continued to own and operate Diote Investments. He was a man of solid advice and constant support.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Bethany Diamond; daughters Lisa (Jeff) Murphy, Bethany (Brandon) Primeaux, and Lauren (Benjamin) Bruce; grandchildren Connor and Cara Murphy; brothers Patrick (Barbara) Diamond and Mark (Barbara Kimmons) Diamond; sister Joan Diamond; and in-laws Emelie Breaux, Edna Mae Miller, Shirley Dunn, and Bill Castille; along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Ann Diamond; brother Michael Diamond; sister Katie Diamond; and in-laws Willie and Ophelia Castille, Larry Breaux, Charlie Miller, and Ernie Castille.

Aside from his personal and business life, Steve had a great passion for many things including traveling, cooking, and enjoying the finer things in life. He left no card unturned. In his early years you could find him chasing weather for the best surfing spots. Through the years you would find him on the golf course with the 2:00 Game or the Mafia Game or playing cards with the Bourré Group. He was a proud supporter of local collegiate and high school athletics. Those that knew him would say Steve had a knack for being the best of friends and always wanted a good time for everyone.
