Steven Bleu Lebleu, Sr.

August 18, 1946 — February 21, 2013

Steven Bleu LeBleu, Sr., 66, of Longville died at 9:53 AM on Thursday, February 21, 2013 in a local hospital.


Mr. LeBleu was born on August 18, 1946 in Lake Charles, LA and lived most of his life in Ragley. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1972 during Vietnam. Mr. LeBleu was a member of the American Legion Post #27 in Deridder. He was an iron worker for 30 years with Local #678 and also worked for South Beauregard High School and Elementary school for 17 years.


He enjoyed many activities outdoor, including fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles. Mr. LeBleu was a family man and adored his children and grandchildren and had raised adopted children as well.


Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife on over 40 years, Kay LeBleu of Longville; three children, Sandy Grant and husband Sean of Ragley, Michael LeBleu and wife Amy of Westlake, and Jada Kit Gwin and husband Shane of Delhi, LA; four sisters; his mother, Valerie Welch in Dequincy; step mother and step father, Dirus and Jim Davis of Toledo Bend; eight grandsons; three granddaughters; and one great grandson.


He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur LeBleu; a son, Steven LeBleu, Jr.; two sisters; and four granddaughters.


Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Greg Willis will officiate. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley. Visitation will begin on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
