Steven Paul Dixon

Steven Paul Dixon, 56, of Lake Charles, LA died at 4:50 AM on Friday, January 31, 2014 in a local care facility. Mr. Dixon was born October 19, 1957 in Lake Charles, LA and was a graduate of Barbe High School. He served fourteen years in the U.S. Navy and worked as a security guard at the Prien Lake Mall for ten years. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing dominoes, and loved to spend time with his family. Mr. Dixon will always be remembered for his outgoing, fun loving personality and his willingness to help others. Mr. Dixon is survived by his daughter, Marilee Love Dixon of Lake Charles; brothers, Mark Dixon and wife Barbara and James Dixon and wife Molly; three sisters, Caroline Amy and husband Wilfred, Sandra Higginbotham and husband Johnny, and Vickie Benoit and husband Gerald, all of Lake Charles; and five grandchildren, Cyera, Donald, Stormie, Safara, and Helana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Richard and Lethia Elaine Robinson Dixon; and sister, Glenda Chesson. His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
