Sue Glenda Jeffers

Sue Glenda Jeffers, 73, of Lake Charles, LA, went to meet her Lord on Thursday, August 17, 2017, in the Shreveport LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA, surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born on July 27, 1944, in Orange, TX to John and Hazel Mitchell Caruthers.

Sue was a loving mother and grandmother and a wonderful homemaker. She loved to play the piano, having played at Boulevard Baptist Church and several nursing homes. Sue studied music at McNeese State University.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Andrew Jeffers and her daughter June Renfro, along with her grandson Josh Jeffers. She is also preceded by two sisters and one brother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Carla (David) Sutton and Donna (Henry) Eads, her sons, Randy Jeffers and Glenn Jeffers, along with her “best friend” James Breaux. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday, August 19, 2017, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. A funeral service officiated by Rev. Marcus Wade will be held at 2PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Niblett’s Bluff Cemetery following the service.
