Sue Ilaray Kilchrist, 72, passed away in a New Orleans, LA hospital on September 7, 2017.
Mrs. Kilchrist was born in Mamou, Louisiana to Oza and Leely Beraze McGee on May 30, 1945. She enjoyed shopping, dancing, watching television and classic movies, and reading novels. She will be remembered as an excellent cook.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jude Kilchrist; daughter, Daina Kilchrist Frank (Charles); grandchildren, Luanne DeVille, Jennifer Vidrine, Destin Vidrine, Jaime Irvin, Jacob Labove, and Josh Labove; great grandchildren, Taylor Still, Karly Lafleur, Emerson Irvin, Addison Irvin, Austin Labove, Grady Labove, Isabel Vidrine, and Chloe Vidrine; brothers, Harry McGee and Glenn McGee; nieces, Paula McGee, and Paige LeJeune; nephews, Shane McGee and Rene LeJeune; numerous great nieces and nephews; and sister in law, Sylvia LeJeune.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Oza McGee, Jr.; and a son, Thomas Jude Kilchrist.
Her funeral service will be at 1 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will take place in Highland Cemetery following the service under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 PM until 8 PM and will resume on Sunday from 9 AM until the start of the service. A rosary will be recited Saturday at 6 PM at the funeral home.
