Susan Jenise Trahan Doise

Susan Jeanise Trahan Doise departed life on Thursday, September 29, 2011, as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

She was born to David and Carol Trahan on January 7, 1971, and was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, a graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School and McNeese State University, and an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Susan's life was spent helping others, and she will be most remembered for her warm smile; her sense of humor; and her giving, caring, and generous heart.

She was a legal assistant for Scott J. Pias, attorney-at-law, for more than twenty years. She was on the board of directors of SPELC Credit Union. She was also a member of the American Business Women's Association and was named Woman of the Year in 2006 by the Les Femmes D'Affaires Chapter of the ABWA.

She is survived by her husband, Kyle Doise, and their son, Garrett Joseph Doise; her parents, David and Carol Trahan; her sister, Laura Fontenot; her brother, Roddy Trahan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Monday October 3, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, beginning at 8 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
