Susan Marie Polk

Susan Marie Polk, 57, of Lake Charles died at 7:50 AM Sunday, September 8, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Polk was born on October 30, 1955 in Lake Arthur, Louisiana. She lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a 1973 graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. Susan loved to spend time with her family and friends, she loved to read, spend time in her garden and fishing with her husband John.

Susan is survived by her husband of 38 years, John Polk , one son, Christopher Polk and one daughter, Amy Polk all of Lake Charles, LA, one brother, Mike Davison and his wife Gail of Fletcher, N.C., three sisters: Katherine Jones and her husband Harold of Iowa, LA, Cheryl DeMary of Sulphur, LA, and Mona Fraering and her husband Mike of Zachary, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father Bill Miller will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue at 8:00 AM on Wednesday until 12:30 P M in the funeral home.
