Susan Miles Norris

Susan Norris, 67, passed away in Sulphur at her home surrounded by her loving family. 
Susan graduated from Sulphur High School in 1973 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from McNeese State University. During her nursing career she worked at several local hospitals and retired in 2022 from Christus Ochsner Lake Area Hospital after 15 years of dedicated service. 
She loved working with stained glass, was an avid reader, and enjoyed all things unicorn. Susan dedicated her life to caring for others. She will be remembered for her love and acceptance of others, and her devotion to her profession. Her quirky personality, sense of adventure, and feisty spirit will be greatly missed. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Norris; parents, Evatt and Sarah Horne; and brother, Charles Horne. 
Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Janice Oliver (Jason) of Sulphur, Jason Leger (Kristan) of Carencro, Matthew Norris of Sulphur, and Tracey Norris of Sulphur; and eight grandchildren, Jaeb and Kinsey Byrd, Joleigh Oliver, Jason Oliver, II, Stella and Eden Leger, Noah Reynolds, and Silas Chehotsky. 
A Celebration of Life service will be11am, Saturday, June 10, 2023, with a gathering of family and friends from 9am -11am at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur.
