Susan Frances Thibodeaux Daigle, 67, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 in a local hospital. Mrs. Daigle was born and raised in Sulphur, LA and was a graduate of Sulphur High School. She worked the past twenty years as a Teacher's Aid for University United Methodist Day School where she found great joy in caring for countless children. She was blessed with a nurturing spirit, enabling her the ability to make a difference in the life of "her children". Mrs. Daigle devoted her life and her love to her family. She will be most remembered as "the strongest woman alive" as she taught, throughout the course, of her illness, Dr.s, nurses, family and friends, the many avenues and options that allowed her to continue her fight. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of forty-four years, John Albert Daigle, Jr. of Lake Charles; one daughter, Jennifer Daigle Davis of Lake Charles; one son, Jeffrey John Daigle of Lake Charles; two granddaughters, Peyton and Taylor Davis of Lake Charles; her mother, Brenda Smith Thibodeaux of Sulphur; one sister, Wendy Pelloquin and husband Richard of Lake Charles; three brothers, Brian Thibodeaux and wife Madge, David Thibodeaux and wife Jamie and Stuart Thibodeaux, all of Sulphur and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves her extended family at University United Methodist Day School. She was preceded in death by her infant son; Douglas Paul Daigle; father, Alfred Thibodeaux and one sister, Angela Thibodeaux. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 19, 2014 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. Visitation Saturday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. The Rev. Dr. Mitzi George will officiate.
