Suzanne Denise Nunez

Suzanne Denise Nunez, 49, of Moss Bluff died at 9:45 PM on Monday, September 13, 2010 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Nunez was a native of Lake Charles and lived most of her life in Moss Bluff. She was a graduate of Acadiana High School and McNeese State University. Mrs. Nunez was a long time employee at Hamilton Christian Academy. She was a member of The Dwelling Place Church where she was involved in Caring Hearts Food Ministry.

She was known to have a sweet spirit and a smile that lit up the room. She enjoyed camping and outdoors as well as riding motorcycles.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ted Nunez of Moss Bluff; son and his fiance', Daniel Nunez and Jamie Johnson; mother, Joyce Calhoun; sister and her husband, Cynthia Carlson and Keith; brother and his wife, Steve Knox and Shelly all of Lake Charles; and several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Jennifer Carlson Walker of Westlake.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Knox; and two brothers, Mark and Patrick Knox.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at The Dwelling Place Church, 1800 E. College Street. Pastor David Roth will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the services in the church. Arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
