Suzy Lee Trahan

Suzy Lee Trahan, 69, of Lake Charles, died Tuesday October 8, 2013 in the comfort of her home. Suzy was a native of Bar Harbor, Maine and traveled all around the world. The passions of her life were her family and art. Suzy, an accomplished artist, displayed her works all across the country. Her art was expressed on canvas and porcelain utilizing watercolor and oil paints. She sculpted with clay and carved many wonderful masterpieces from wood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Glenwood and Susie Guptill Huckins Babbidge; brother, Louis Babbidge; and son, Timothy Neal Trahan. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 49 years, Lynn Allen Trahan, Lake Charles; daughter, Cammie Lynn Abbott and husband Jack, Hewitt, TX and granddaughter, Olivia Abbott, Hewitt, TX. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday October 11, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with a funeral service to be held at 11:00 AM. Father Reuben Buller will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolota Cemetery. The family would like to express sincere and heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mohammad Khan and his staff and the nurses and staff of Christus Hospice for their loving and compassionate care shown to our wife and mother during her illness.
