Sylvester "Pa Pa Leo" Revis , 96, was born in Faith, South Dakota on October 6, 1917 to Fred and Mabel Revis. "Pa Pa Leo" passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 in a local hospital. "Pa Pa Leo" as he was affectionately known to all was one of a kind. He was a gentle and loving man. He loved to sing and his life motto was "If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all". His grandchildren were the love of his life. "Pa Pa Leo" loved telling his life stories including the Canadian Geese in the lake. He also enjoyed tinkering or brigle" as he referred to it. Leo served his country in the U S Air Force during WWII, being selected, in the first draft out of Guthrie, OK. He also served in North Africa, Rome, England and received 3 Bronze Battle Stars during his service. "Pa Pa Leo" is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Deville and husband, Odell of Sulphur; 6 grandchildren, Daniel Lindgren and wife, Mandy, David Lindgren and wife, Rachel, Leslie Deville, Joann Koonce and husband, Stephen, Derek Hemperley and wife, Deanne and Amber Hebert and husband, Daniel; 11 great grandchildren, Logan Lindgren and wife, Kayla, Jared, Laura, Brooke, Kamber, Payton Lindgren, Candice and Kris Koonce, Kendall , Piper and Chandler Hemperley; 2 great-great grandchildren, William Koonce and Savannah Lindgren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mable Revis; wife of 62 years, Evelyn Revis; sister, Marie Thomas and 2 brothers, F.E. Revis, Jr. and James Revis. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 7 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Burke officiating. Burial will be held in Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, OK. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
