Sylvia Lafleur

Sylvia “Memaw” LaFleur, 86 of Sulphur, LA was welcomed into Heaven on Saturday, November 21, 2020.

Sylvia was born on September 8, 1934 in Sulphur, LA and was a lifelong resident of Southwest Louisiana.

Family was important to her. She loved spending time with them and teaching her children and grandchildren how to play Boo-Ray. Sunday’s were especially important to her, as her family would gather around the table, to enjoy good food and conversation.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her husband, Leo Paul LaFleur; her parents. Alton and Gussie Pousson; two daughters; Paula Campbell and Jeanine McGrew; three brothers, Alton “Junior” Pousson, Joe Pousson, and Alfred Pousson.

Those left to cherish her memory are; two daughters, Jackie Hollingshead and Renita Tucker; her grandchildren, Chase Campbell, Austin Hollingshead, Dawson Tucker, Destin McGrew, and Dallas Thompson; nine great-grandchildren and her two sisters; Wanda Cormier and Betty LaRocca.

She will be laid to rest at Prien Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 12pm.
