Sylvia Mae (Lyons) Aldridge

Sylvia Mae (Lyons) Aldridge, 84, of Newington, CT died on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick D. Aldridge. Born in DeQuincy, she lived in Newington for many years and lived in Vinton, before returning to Newington. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she leaves her son William Aldridge and his wife Nancy, of Newington, her daughter Linda Spector and her husband John, of North Windham, CT, her grandsons William Aldridge, Jr. and his wife Julie, Robert Aldridge and his wife Christa, and Matthew Spector, and several great grandchildren. She also leaves her brother Francis Lyons, of Houston, TX, her sister Peggy Potts, of Rusk, TX, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, L.C. Lyons, Howard Lyons, Earnest Lyons, Hubert Ray Hobo Lyons, Helen Walter, Ruby Lyons, Ted Lyons, and Meda Spell. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Robison Funeral Home, 107 West Napoleon St., Sulphur. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss.
